Continuing a Rich Gospel Legacy: The Children of Jeff and Sheri Easter
In the world of Southern gospel music, few names carry as much history, warmth, and prestige as Jeff and Sheri Easter. Descended from legendary musical roots—with Jeff coming from the renowned Easter Brothers and Sheri from the famous Lewis Family—the couple has spent decades shaping the genre. Yet, ask Jeff and Sheri what they are most proud of, and they will tell you it is not their numerous Dove Awards or Grammy nominations, but their family.
Deeply rooted in faith and harmony, Jeff and Sheri raised three children—Madison, Morgan, and Maura—who have all inherited the family’s undeniable musical gifts, carrying the torch into a new generation.
1. Madison Easter
As the oldest of the three siblings, Madison grew up completely immersed in the gospel touring community. Early fans may remember him from childhood music features, including his appearances with the Gaither Homecoming Kids.
As he matured, Madison blossomed into a powerhouse multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer. His exceptional talent behind the scenes and on stage earned him prestigious recognition, including being named Musician of the Year at the SGN Music Awards. After touring extensively with his parents until his mid-twenties, Madison transitioned into a primary focus on production and writing. He resides in Los Angeles, California, with his wife, Shannon, continuing to create music.
2. Morgan Easter
Morgan stepped into the musical spotlight at an early age, releasing solo projects as a child before growing into a celebrated vocalist for the family group. Known for her rich, soulful blend of alto and soprano harmonies, she has become a fixture of the modern Jeff and Sheri Easter live sound.
Her talent has earned widespread industry acclaim, including winning the Singing News Fan Award for Horizon Individual. Morgan married Landan Smith (who previously drummed for the family band), and the couple welcomed a daughter named Ryman, adding yet another generation of musical joy to the Easter family tree.
3. Maura Easter
The youngest of the siblings, Maura practically grew up on a tour bus—making her very first stage appearance when she was only 11 days old!
With a vibrant, engaging personality, Maura has shared her gifts on the road by singing, playing instruments, and sharing humor with audiences. Alongside her contributions to the family’s ministry, she has actively pursued broader creative outlets, expressing her artistry through musical theater and visual arts.
A Seamless Blend of Ministry and Family
What makes the story of the Easter children unique is how naturally ministry and family life intertwined. While many traveling artists struggle to maintain stability while balancing a heavy touring schedule, Jeff and Sheri managed to make the road an extension of their home.
Whether writing new arrangements, harmonizing under the stage lights, or gathering at home as grandparents, Madison, Morgan, and Maura prove that the heart of the Easter family beats strongest through their shared faith, deep-rooted love for one another, and lifelong passion for song.
